What cookies are

Cookies are small files or entries a site saves in your browser. Browser storage (localStorage) works in a similar way, so this policy calls both cookies.

Essential

bongo-consent (browser storage, ours): remembers your cookie choice. Kept for 12 months, then we ask again.

bongo-chat-device (browser storage, ours): a random device tag created only when you start a chat with Bongiukas; needed to protect the chat from abuse.

bongo_admin (cookie, ours): only for Bongo staff signed in to the admin panel. Kept for 12 hours.

Essential cookies don't need consent, because without them the site couldn't remember your choice.

Analytics (only with consent)

_ga and _ga_* (Google Analytics, Google Ireland Limited): tell visitors apart and count visits. Kept for up to 2 years.

Advertising (only with consent)

_fbp (Meta Pixel, Meta Platforms Ireland Limited): measures ad results and lets us show ads on Facebook and Instagram. Kept for 3 months.

_gcl_au (Google Ads, Google Ireland Limited): measures how many enquiries came from ads. Kept for 3 months.

Managing your consent

On your first visit we show a banner where you can accept all, reject all or choose categories. Until you choose, no analytics or advertising cookies are loaded.

You can change your choice any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page, or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Visitor statistics

We count visitors without cookies or browser storage (see the privacy policy). If you click “Reject all”, your visits aren't counted.

Third-party content

Fonts and images are served from our own server. The links to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn are plain links: those platforms learn nothing about you unless you click them.

When we change the tools we use, we'll update this page and ask for your consent again.
